Alipay started blocking all cryptocurrency transactions

The company promised to track financial transactions to identify digital money.

One of the largest payment systems Alipay will track transactions related to Bitcoin or other digital assets. The company emphasized that they block all operations connected cryptocurrencies, as they violate Chinese law.

“Alipay will block all transactions related to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies” – the representative of the company said.


In the summer of 2018 year, a division of Alibaba (Ant Financial), began collaborating with Chinese financial regulators to thwart cryptocurrencies trading in the Alipay app. Then the user’s actions began to be tracked, and certain measures, including account blocking, were applied to violators.
