In Russia, it is necessary to create crypto-offshores, follows from the appeal of the Association of Entrepreneurs for the development of business-patriotism “Avanti”, which refers to “RIA Novosti.” As part of the initiative, it is proposed to place two crypto-valleys in the Kaliningrad region and Primorsky Krai.
The appeal was sent to the Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov, the head of the Ministry of Economy Maxim Oreshkin, the Speakers of the Federation Council and the State Duma Valentina Matvienko and Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Ministry of Communications Konstantin Noskov, the Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov and the head of the Primorsky Territory Andrei Tarasenko.
According to businessmen, it is necessary “to use the advantages as quickly as possible”, which give new technologies. “We propose to create on the territory of the Russian Federation a unique economic platform – the so-called crypto-valleys, which will be tied to the real territory in terms of the implementation of certain physical functions, as well as from the point of view of the experimental legislation available only in this territory” – it is stated in the letter about the signature of the president of the association Rahman Yansukov.
The letter emphasizes that the laws inside the crypto-valleys “will be maximally loyal.” In particular, there it is proposed to cancel all taxes on operations with cryptocurrencies and tokens for three years, as well as to exempt all physical and legal entities that carry out operations with digital currencies from income tax, VAT and profit tax.
On August 3rd, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a package of laws on the zones creation with preferential terms for the work of foreign companies on the Russian (Primorsky Territory) and Oktyabrsky (Kaliningrad region) islands. According to the law, special administrative regions will appear on the islands, where a more flexible legal regime in the field of tax and currency regulation will be introduced.
