Kraken cryptocurrency exchange announced the addition of a Swiss franc to its platform. This was implemented in collaboration with the Liechtenstein bank Frick. Earlier, the exchange already used its services to process deposits in Euros.
With the latest expansion, the number of fiat currencies supported by Kraken has reached six — the list also includes the US dollar, Canadian dollar, British pound, and Japanese yen.
Starting today, Kraken users can exchange franc to bitcoin and Ethereum. In the future, the company intends to expand the list of supported trading pairs.
Shortly before that, Kraken announced the accession of Silvergate Bank to the exchange network to allow its customers quickly deposit and withdraw funds in US dollars.
On Thursday, the exchange also commented on the news that a Danish court supported Nordea, which forbade its employees to invest in cryptocurrencies. Turning to Nordea Bitcoin users, Kraken invited them to consider the list of available vacancies on their platform. Earlier it became known that a significant number of Kraken employees prefer to get paid in bitcoins.
