The French cryptocurrency startup Keplerk has organized bitcoin trading at more than 5,200 local tobacco outlets.
From October 10, customers of these stores can buy coupons for bitcoins for 50, 100 or 250 euros. Cryptocurrency payments at all points will pass through Bimedia, a Keplerk trading terminal partner.
The startup’s offer was first launched in early 2019 in only 6 tobacco stores, but after a couple of months it suspended its activities. Now the project has returned to the market, significantly expanding its presence.
The development of the crypto industry in France stimulates progressive legislation. The presence of clear rules allows entrepreneurs to actively cooperate in this direction. For example, from next year in more than 25 thousand French retail stores it will be possible to pay using cryptocurrency.
