The press service of the Microsoft corporation told about the company’s plans to use the Ethereum crypto platform to identify pirated software from users.
For this, they plan to use the Argus system, which is based on the Ethereum platform. This software will allow users to exchange information about copyright infringers, receiving incentives in the form of cryptocurrency in return.
The Argus system itself will generate a unique code, assign each violation the “accused” status, and if the information is confirmed or the incident is not appealed, the violator will be found “guilty”. More details about the new system will be announced in September at the 40th International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems.
